Snow Obituary (1945 – 2021) – Indianapolis, IN

Clarence Edward Snow
With his family by his side, Clarence Edward Snow went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 22, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. He was 76 years old. He was born in Brainard, New York on January 1, 1945, to Kenneth Leroy Snow and Lavancha Elizabeth (Reed).
A memorial service to celebrate Ed’s life will be held on Monday, November 29 at True Light Baptist Church, 805 North Country Club Road, Muncie with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. His family welcomes you to visitation beginning at 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Indiana Funeral Care has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Ed was fortunate to find two true loves during his life. On December 17, 1992, he married Margaret (Maggie) Marie Burgess and they have one daughter, Peyton. On November 20, 1965, he married his late wife, Sandra Converse. They were married for 24 years and had four children, David, Joe, Matt, and Alison.
Ed worked in manufacturing most of his life, including the GE Transformer Plant in Pittsfield, MA and Westinghouse/ABB Power T&D and Indiana Steel & Wire here in Muncie until their closures. After that he attended Ivy Tech to complete his A+ certification in computer repair that eventually led him to Ball Memorial Hospital from where he retired.
Ed always tried to take an opportunity to make others laugh and smile and in his younger years was known to be quite the prankster. After retiring he enjoyed spending time with his family, pets, listening to music and helping his friend Donna Sanders with Westside Flea Market. He attended True Light Baptist Church where he rededicated his life to his Lord and Savior a few years ago. He had originally accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized while attending Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren.
Besides Maggie, his beloved wife of almost 29 years, Ed is survived by two sons and their families, Joe and Julie (Pittsfield, MA) and Matt and Tina (Clayton, NC), and two daughters, Peyton Snow (Greenwood, IN) and Alison and Michael Brown (Muncie, IN) and his loyal dog Jojoe. He also leaves behind five sisters and their families to cherish memories, Jane Hathaway (FL), Coral Krysztofik (NM), Adelaide Snow (FL), Mary Giannini (FL) and Artie Kuehner (FL). He will also be missed by his in-laws, Clarence and Helen Burgess and James and Darcie Burgess, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Snow (MA) and Lavancha Vogelsang (NY), his first wife Sandy Snow, a son David Snow (Muncie, IN), a brother David Reed (NY) and a sister Betty Freund (NY).
Pallbearers are his sons Matthew Clarence Snow and Joseph Edward Snow, grandson Clarence Matthew Stellwag, brother-in-law Clarence James Burgess, and nephews Clarence Douglas Burgess and Brandon Burgess.
His family wishes to thank our family and friends who carried us through this difficult time with their love and prayers. We also appreciate and thank the many nurses and doctors at Ball Memorial Hospital, Oncology Center, and Family Residency Center for their care and support during the many visits over the last few years. You made this difficult time much easier.
